Alps Blockchain, an Italian provider of energy efficiency systems for data centers and blockchain, attracted 40 million euros from a club deal that Milan-listed Azimut launched (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Alps sold a 45% stake and issued a convertible loan. Azimut retained Gianni &Origoni as advisor while Deloitte STS and Deloitte Legal assisted Alps Blockchain which currently belongs to Smart FF (56% – a vehicle of which Francesca Failoni has 98% and Giuseppe Failoni 2%), Eisackwerk (22.67%), Skiarea Miara (11.33%), and further minority shareholders.
Mysecretcase, an Italian online vendor of sex toys, hired a financial advisor for seeking new investors (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Norma Rossetti, ceo, founded the company in 2014. Mysecretcase has sales of 8 million euros and an ebitda of 1 million and recently attracted the interest from an industry peer while the advisor is sounding the interest of international private equity funds. The firm belongs to Luca Marzotto (40%), R301 Capital, Ta Venture, Angelomario Moratti, Marinella Soldi, and other minority investors.
Kampaay, a digital platform for event organization-as-a-service, is attracting a maximum of 7.3 million euros from investors in a new investment round led by SG Company, a Milan-listed B-Corp for Entertainment and Communication (see here a previous post by BeBeez). SG Company said that at the end of March 2023 signed a binding agreement for acquiring a 12%-13% stake of Kampaay through the subscription of a capital increase of maximum 3 million euros. Kampaay also is attracting a further 3 million from other investors while debt for a maximum of as much as 1.3 million euro is to be converted into equity. All of that wil lead to a maximum post-money valuation of about 25 million euros. Daniele Arduini (ceo), Marco Alba (cfo), Stefano Brigli Bongi (cmo), and Enrico Berto (cpo) founded Kampaay in 2019.
Kopjra, an Italian provider of anti-fraud systems, closed an equity crowdfunding campaign on Mamacrowd that AZ ELTIF – Venture ALIcrowd II led (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Kopjra raised 870k euros after having set a target of 0.4-1 million on the ground of a pre-money value of 4 million. Tommaso Grotto (ceo), Emanuele Casadio (ceo) and Matteo Scapin (cmo) founded the company in 2014.
All About Water (AAW), and Italian water management company, aims to fetch 2.5 million euros seed resources for developing its proprietary SaaS platform (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Alfredo Bini and Martino Pietropoli founded AAW in 2021. Bini, ceo, said to BeBeez that the company aims to expand internationally.
Voxy, an AI-based e-learning platform, acquired Fluentify, a toll for studying foreign languages (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Houlihan Lokey acted as financial advisor to Fluentify, a London-based company that Giacomo Moiso, Claudio Bosco and Matteo Avalle founded.
Cysero EuVeca, a venture capital joint venture of AVM Gestioni and Kilometro Rosso, said it acquired a minority of Oversonic Robotics, a B-Corp that created RoBee, a robot for the smart factory (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Fabio Puglia and Paolo Denti created Oversonic in 2020. In 2021, the company attracted 4.5 million euros from Fintel, the Bulgarelli family office, that acquired a 33% of the business for a post-money value of 14 million.
Lio Factory, a data driven investor, acquired an undisclosed controlling stake in Italy’s Digitiamo, an Italian consultancy form for the data science and AI sector, through the subscription to a capital increase (see here a previous post by BeBeez). Mirko Puliafito, Francesco Marini (ceo) and Riccardo Sabatini (deeptech advisor) founded Digitiamo in 2020. Lio Factory belongs to Francesco Marini and Milan-listed Tamburi Investment Partners. Digitiamo will invest the raised proceeds in its organic growth.
