Italyās club deal online platform SiamoSoci launched a one million dollars fundraising for bringing Italyās business angels to invest in Mission and Market FundĀ I, an investment veichle focused on US startup companies incubated by Y Combinator, one of the leading business accelerators in the US.
Headquartered in San Francisco (California), Mission and Market Fund has been founded in 2014 by three young serial Italian startuppers (Stefano Bernardi,Ā Simone BrunozziĀ andĀ Francesco Simoneschi) and is able to coinvest together with some of the major US venture capital fundsĀ such asĀ Google Ventures,Ā 500 Startups,Ā Microsoft VenturesĀ andĀ Novartisās corporate venture.
This is possible as Mission and Market fund signed an agreement with Y Combinator in order to invest 25k dollars in each of its portfolio companies. In this way the fundās portfolio counts 33 investments already.
SiamoSoci will raise money from Italian investors through a newco called American Startup Club spa,Ā which will act as a unique investor in a way to have access to Mission and Market Fund I at the same conditions allowed to institutional investors.
