H-Farm, one of Italyās most active startup incubators, will list its shares onĀ Borsa ItalianaāsĀ Aim ItaliaĀ market in two weeks Ā (seeĀ here a previous post byĀ BeBeez), after having raised about 30 million euros from institutional and professional investors, H-Farm founder Riccardo Donadon told the press yesterday (downloadĀ here the press release).
H-Farm reached 17 million euros in revenues in 2014 and closed H1 2015 with 11 millions already. In ten years of activity, H-Farm raised about 30 million euros and invested 14.5 millions in m&a deals while invested 17 million euros in startup companies. Ā As for today H-Farm has a portfolio of 71 companies.
H-Farm’s shareholders capital is now controlled by Mr. Donadon (19.9%) and byĀ Red Circle Investments (16,48%), the investment company of the Rosso family (Diesel jeans);Ā Giuseppe Miroglio (12.1%),Ā Maurizio Rossi (9.8%),Ā Italyās insurance group Cattolica Assicurazioni (4,5%), Unicredit (2,72%), Rcs MediagroupĀ (0,68%), Banca Sella Holding (0,6%), formerly listed Buongiorno (1,2%), Veneto regionās investment company Veneto Sviluppo (3,57%) and weel-known Italian entrepreneurs such as the Marzotto family, Gianfranco Zoppas (0,68%) and Stefano Parisi (1,36%).
H-Farm will be chaired by Maurizio Rossi, while executive chairman will beĀ Paolo Cuniberti (formerĀ JpMorgan’s European head of equity capital markets and derivatives and former head of Mediobanca UK).
The startup incubator has just finalised a reorganization in three divisions: the investments division, led byĀ Roberto Bonanzinga, a former partner of investment firm Balderton Group; the industry division, headed byĀ Cristina Mollis, founder of the advisory firm NuvĆ² which was bought by H-farm some months ago (seeĀ here a previous post by BeBeeez); and the education division, led by Carlo Carraro, the former chancellor of Venice Ca’ Foscari University.Ā Under this latter division a new international university campus will be developed as wall a primary and a high school.
H-Farm is supported by financial advisor N+1 for this deal, Unicredit is the global coordinator, Banca Intermobiliare is the Nominated advisor (Nomad) while Gianni Origoni Grippo Cappelli & Partners and LCA Studio Legale law firms are the legal advisors.
