Italian venture incubator Digital Magics, through its controlled incubatorĀ 56Cube, acquired a 12pct stake in the capital of Cambiomerci.com, an online platform specialized on a B2B barter system (download here the press release).
Founded byĀ Francesca Scarpetta,Ā Cambiomerci.com in its first 2 years of activity affiliated 450 companies throughout Italy, allowing the exchange, through complementary currency, between goods and services from several sectors, from industry to commerce,Ā from service industry to agriculture, up to the professionals.
The English word Barter means the exchange of goods as an economic instrument used before money advent. The innovative Ā character lies in multilateral exchange of goods and services through the hiring of credit by those who sell and debts by those who buy, against circuit members. Those Ā credits can be used for other sales and other purchases to be made afterwards.
