Mariella Burani’s fashion brand will be bought by a Chinese investment veichle for  2,6 million euros, MF-Milano Finanza wrote.  The name of the Hong Kong fund is still not known but an official announcement will be made in the next few days.
The brand will be bought together with more than 1.300 dresses and the whoie historical archive  (sketches and patterns).
This will be a finel step of the bankrupcy procedure started in 2011 after the one billion euros crack of the  whole Burani Fashion Group. The Chines fund’s offer beated the one from sylist Mariella Arduini in Burani, unique Burani family member who had not been involved in the backrupcy.
Far East investors are targeting more and more often Italian fashion brands. The last deal was last February when Shenzhen Marisfrolg fashion bought  Krizia brand for 35 million dollars. Last September 2013 instead Chines giant Fosun International acquired a 35 pct stake in luxury menswear brand Raffaele Caruso spa.
