Digital Magics takes a 17,5 pct stake in DeRev crowdfunding platform

Digital Magics, a certified venture incubator of digital innovative startups listed on AIM Italia of Borsa Italiana, bought a 17.5 pct stake in DeRev, a leading crowdfunding platform in Italy  (click here for the Italian press release). This is the second round of financing forthe company, the first being held in 2012 when Vertis Venture and Withfounders invested 1.25 million euros. 

Thanks to Digital Magics’ support DeRev will strenght its leadership in Italy and will focus on  civic crowdfunding calling interest from local entities and citizens.

Founded in 2013 by Roberto Esposito, the company has headquarters both in Naples and Milan and counts more than 5 million Italian subscribers. Crowdfunding campaigns on DeRev raised more than 1.3 million euros and more than 15,000 people have been involved in financing causes. Last June 2013 EU Parliament and Microsoft included DeRev among the Digital Democracy Leaders.
