L Venture will define details of its announced capital increase in a board meeting at the end of March, MF-Milano Finanza writes today.
Founded by ceo Luigi Capello, L Venture is a venture capital operator listed at the Italian Stock Exchange. It act also as a company accelerator (EnLabs) together with LUISS University in Rome.
Capello will try to involve entrepeneurs and corporates as new shareholders in order to count in a solid group of potential coinvestors and support for its accelerating companies. This is a business model that aldo Digital Magics, another Italian venture incubator listed at AIm Italia market, adopted with success (see a previous post in BeBeez).
L Venture gave mandate to Mediobanca as corporate broker in order to contact potential investors. The capital increase is aiming at giving the company new finance to support its business plan for 2015-2017.Ā L Venture has 21 start-up in its portfolio today and said it is oing to have 59 at the end of 2017 ( after devaluations and disinvestments) for a total value of 11 million euros.
